This session will discuss how to know when a student needs a 504 versus an IEP. Then will unpack the IEP process including evaluations, independent educational evaluations (IEE), eligibility determination, IEP structure, and implementation. It will touch on ways to address a student’s social, emotional and behavior needs – a hot topic after pandemic learning. Finally, it will end with an overview of special education scholarships.
