Statement on Passing of Former MCBDD Board Member and State Representative Chuck Calvert

(Medina, Ohio) – The Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities Board Members, Administration and Staff are saddened by the passing of former MCBDD Board Member and State Representative Chuck Calvert. Representative Calvert served as a board member for the MCBDD for many years and was instrumental in making sure people with developmental disabilities in Medina County had access to some of the highest quality services possible.

As a true public servant and member of the Ohio House of Representatives, he served in roles and on committees which created and supported important legislation which continues to shape the state developmental disabilities system today.

We extend our sincere and deepest condolences to the Calvert family on his passing and know people with developmental disabilities have lost a true advocate and friend.
